We met with representatives of ’Megoldom’ (Coping) Social Cooperative, registered in Veszprém, in Budapest. We got to know their newest initiative, the working name of which is a ’portal project’. They are working on launching a complex website linking human service providers. At the moment, it is still in the planning phase and the negotiations are taking place in Budapest. The purpose and structure of the website were presented. They also gave a picture of what similar, functional or pre-launch Hungarian portals are.

As a good practice, they have shared with us the design and operation of their evaluation system, which is to help registered members to self-regulate operations. They also mentioned as a good practice their source-based solution for providing the IT background of the service, which includes mixed investment, support, crowdsourcing and community finance (kickstarter) elements.

The team of experts agreed that there is a great potential for collaboration between the ’portal project’ and the methodology we have developed, because we can mutually support each other with invested work, expertise and methodologies.
