Introducing the the Szávitri Foundation
We are pleased to introduce the Szávitri Foundation, which joined to our project during our April Workshop. Colleagues of Szávitri Foundation have been working for many years to create harmonious families in our society in order to be the part of a community that consists of healthy families and a healthy chain of parent-child relationships. To this end, they put great importance on the preservation of the physical, mental health, integrity and completeness of women; on promoting the healthy physical and spiritual development of children; on re-evaluation of the social role of women. They work on the re-education of traditional women’s values; teaching self-knowledge techniques; the correct recognition of life’s roles; they organize spiritual hygiene training; and put a focus on the different forms of education outside the school system (lectures, courses, courses).
Recently, their focus has shifted to fairytale therapy, using the methodology of Fairytale Center (Meseközpont) for the disadvantaged children in Miskolc and the surrounding area. They organized several times the so called Golden Apple Fairytale Festival (Aranyalma Mesefesztivál). Their goal is to make these disadvantaged people experience acceptance, love, individual attention, a hope for a beautiful and prosperous world. They also consider it important to co-operate with organizations who have similar purposes, so they have had a cooperation with a number of women’s civic organizations (Anyahajó Anyaközpont Egyesület, JÓL-LÉT Alapítvány, HellóAnyu, Holdam Egyesület, Regina Alapítvány, Magyar Női Érdekérvényesítő Szövetség, Nőkért Egyesület).
