The group as a living organization carries the impression of its perfection in itself. When this imprint appears in the group, it shows the pattern of health that cannot be created even by the best group leader. The ultimate goal of the group is to give group members access to their own inner wisdom. The answers of the living system are inside: the acorn already has the full experience of oak. The aspiration of the facilitator is to strengthen the attachment to this fundamental truth that you experience in your approach to the larger group.
So what is in the focus of a facilitator of a living organization?
- Self-organization: Organizes itself and creates coherence on the road from chaos to consciousness. In this way, the group learns about self-organization and comes up with better solutions than any facilitator can find.
- Self-regulation: Everything that live is constantly modulating itself. As a facilitator, he plays the role of the neocortex or the attentive parent who speaks when the time comes for a break and a small walk. The self-regulation model helps the group to know when they need a break and when they need acceleration.
- Self Correction: This is a particularly important skill for the group. The facilitator guides the group by way of example so that it can change all of its knowledge when the environment changes and it needs to change to move with people.
- Self-Moving: Let go of the old identity so that the individual can build and express his new identity. The ability of dispersing the past is a condition for the emergence of something new. The part dies to get the new one. If you do this well, people will gain a new perspective on their lives.
